Greetings and I hope all is well on this first day of November. Hard to believe there are only two months left of 2022. Iām happy to write this post today to first say thanks and to also share you some history of the soda brand Long Tom.
First and foremost, I would like to say THANKS to Joe Koenig and the great team at Blue Heaven Technologies in Louisville, KY. Earlier this year, Joe located a case of Long Tom sodas from the earlier 1970s and a few commemorative 16oz Soda bottles.
Not wanting them to go to waste, Joe reached out to me via email to first get more information on them and later offered them to me as a gift to my collection. After some careful packaging and post Hurricane Ian passing by in Florida, I finally received the packages from Joe.
There are 2 variants of the Long Tom bottle. Basically the same looks, but some have the size "10 Fluid ozs" on the front(1977) and some have the size on the back (1968). You will see Joes set has both of the variants. And most importantly, the best part is the cool looking cannon depicted on the back label.
Thanks again Joe!!! and these bottles will have a good home.
